Geinfluenced door de podcast LSRF heb ik drie maanden geleden de Join app geïnstalleerd. Ik ben er erg blij mee! De app biedt tal van trainingsschema’s voor uiteenlopende doelen en laat zien of je conditie verbetert. Erg prettig is dat je per week je beschikbaarheid opgeeft en deze ook tussendoor nog kunt aanpassen. De trainingen zijn afwisselend, waardoor het (ook op een indoor trainer) leuk en uitdagend blijft. Een afwijkende training doen, bijvoorbeeld omdat je zin hebt een rit/race met je fietsmaten te doen, is geen probleem: de app past je trainingsschema daar automatisch op aan. Doe je teveel, dan krijg je een seintje. Doe je te weinig: dito. Verder bevat de app interessante artikelen over trainingsleer en bestaat de mogelijkheid vragen te stellen, die ook snel worden beantwoord. Kortom: aanrader voor iedere fietser die functioneel en afwisselend wil trainen, maar niet de kosten voor een personal trainer kan of wil dragen.

Easy to use and automatically optimizes my training program based on my availability, fitnesslevel and performed training. Therefore perfectly combinable with my family, work and sports ambitions.
With very little input as your FTP, Threshold heartbeat, level and your goal it suggests a training plan and adapts this to your availability that week. Workouts to Zwift and Garmin are working but since they are using slightly different settings it can do a better job in matching these workout settings.
After years of TrainerRoad, TrainingPeaks and Strava, the time of JOIN has arrived. Create an effective training plan with less effort. Who doesn’t want that? At first I found training on power a bit nervous because you use instant power. After contact with JOIN it turned out that they were already working on this and now 3s-10s average power is the approach. Great service! Definitely try it!
JOIN is fantastic if you want to get better, but don’t have the time to think about your training program. After putting in some data like age, weight, heart rate, FTP and target event you get a custom training plan. And if you skip a day’s training the app automatically adjusts the training for the rest of the week to fit your goals.
