My race plan for 2025 is ready! Just like last year, it will be a mix of cycling and running events. My goal is to perform at my best, balancing my work and family commitments. There's no doubt that JOIN will be instrumental in helping me achieve this.


Despite dealing with a hamstring overload for a few weeks now, my first race will be a 10k run in Tilburg during the first weekend of March. As it's a carnival run, I'll be dressed in carnival spirit, but my outfit won't hinder my speed. A few beers after the race will serve as my recovery shake.


The next race is the Engadin Radmarathon in Switzerland in early July. One of my cycling friends discovered this fantastic event, which includes a 7km climbing time trial (400m elevation gain) on Friday, a 97km mountain stage (1367m elevation gain) on Saturday, and a 117km mountain stage (2815m elevation gain) on Sunday. I’m really looking forward to this multi-day biking event, especially the climbing time trial.


In the months leading up to this event, I'll be traveling extensively for work, including a 7-week stay in France with a heavy work schedule. During this period, JOIN will be crucial in helping me make the most of my limited training time. One of JOIN's biggest advantages is its ability to optimize my training sessions even when my schedule is packed. Without JOIN,I wouldn't be doing VO2-max intervals in a week with limited training hours, but these sessions are exactly what help maintain my fitness during busy periods.


From the beginning of April, I’ll start a training program on JOIN focused on the Engadin Radmarathon. Until then, I’m following the ‘increasing FTP’ training plan on JOIN, which find very useful during the winter months due to its variety of sessions.


The third goal for 2025 is the Valencia Marathon in early December. If I can have a similar training period as I did for the Antwerp Marathon in 2024 and run the marathon without injuries, I hope to finish in under 3h13min. The running feature on JOIN will be helpful in the months leading up to the Valencia Marathon. I’m currently experimenting with this new feature, and I believe it’s a great addition to JOIN. Let’s see what it brings me in December!
